Dentist Makes House Call on 102-Year-Old

Dr. Anne B. Filler recently stopped by the residence of Conwell "Deke" Abbott.

When a 102-year-old Windham resident had broken his denture and was unable to eat, a local dentist was summoned for the challenge.

Anne B. Filler, who according to her website has been providing dental care since 1985, was contacted regarding the unusual predicament of Conwell "Deke" Abbott.

While Abbott no longer lives in Windham, currently residing at the N.H. Veteran's Home in Tilton, N.H., he was a regular patient of Filler for many years prior to his relocation.

The facility in Tilton provided routine care for Abbott, but the damage to the denture required assistance from a trained dentist.

Filler had nothing but good things to say about one of Windham's oldest residents in a release to Windham Patch.

"Deke is certainly one of our oldest patients," she said in the release. "He was one of our favorites and was well taken care of ny our office. Oftentimes he came for his visits and then stayed and had lunch with myself and the staff. It was time we treasured."

Filler had already planned a trip up to the Tilton Outlet with her daughters, so she brought up her denture repair kit and fixed Abbott's denture right in Tilton.
