When is the First Day of School in Windham?

Here are five things you should know today in Windham.

1. Back to school blues. While some schools in New Hampshire and other parts of the country don't welcome students back until after Labor Day, Windham students head back a week early. 3. The weatherman says ... High temperatures once again dip into the low 80s today as summer vacation creeps to an end. Today's forecasted high, according to Weather.com, is 80 degrees, with a 20-percent chance of rain and an overnight low of 67 degrees.

5. Possible 2016 presidential hopeful in NH today. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a possible GOP candidate for president in 2016, will be in New Hampshire tonight. He's scheduled to attend a New Hampshire Republican State Committee fundraiser in Dublin. The event is being held at Knollwood Farm beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $100.
