PSNH Air Patrols Taking Place Around NH this Week

The helicopters are attempting to detect hot spots on transmission lines.

If you have seen low-flying helicopters around Windham this week, you are not alone.

Public Service of New Hampshire has scheduled Infared Air Patrols across the state to take place until Friday.

PSNH has contracted with vendors JBI Helicopter and Hot Shots.

The infared camera is used to look for "hot spots" on PSNH's transmission lines.

Residents are asked to help notify people with horses and livestock.

The patrols are weather permitting. Windham residents were also notified by Town Administrator Dave Sullivan during Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting.
