Woof it Down to Assist Hurricane Relief Effort

The business is teaming up with Granite State Dog Recovery.

As part of a collaborative relief effort being organized by Granite State Dog Recovery (GSDR), a Windham business will help collect supplies for animals impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

Woof it Down, a local dog food and accessories store, will take donations during regular store hours.

GSDR issued the following message in a release:

At GSDR, our hearts go out to all of those who were in (Sandy's) destructive path.

We, at GSDR would like to rally our amazing, caring and generous community of followers to gather much needed items for Sandy’s lost/found and in-need animals.

A list of items have been provided by GSDR and are as follows

Dog Beds
Cat Beds
Dry Dog Food
Dry Cat Food
Canned Dog Food
Canned Cat Food
Pet Bowls

The items will be driven by members of GSDR straight to the animal shelters that were impacted in New York.

According to GSDR, space in the delivery vehicles is limited, so only the above items are being requested. Only new or almost new items are wanted.

Three homes in Manchester, Salem and Goffstown will join Woof it Down in the collection effort. Here is the contact information for all three drop-off spots:

Holly -- 603-289-8021
40 Grand Ave
Manchester, NH 03109

Salem, NH 03079

Peesh -- 603-508-7569

Designated areas at the three households will be available to leave items.

Collections began yesterday at Woof it Down, according to owner Susan Keenan.

North Shore Animal League America, which is located in New York, wrote to GSDR on Facebook to thank the organization for the incoming donations.

Donations will be accepted until Nov. 17.

Get over it Jim. The election is OVER. Let's move on to helping the poor people in NY and NJ.

Well where is Obama? Is he doing anything now? Certainly the campaign is over so nothing is in the way for him to help these poor poor people.
