Windham Man Injured in Fourth of July Motorcycle Crash

He was reportedly riding with a 12-year-old passenger.

A Windham man remains hospitalized following a motorcycle crash that took place on Millville St. in Salem Thursday afternoon.

Timothy Holland, 38, was transported by Salem Fire to Lawrence General Hospital following the incident, which took place near 174 Millville St.

Police responded to the scene at approximately 3:45 p.m. to find Holland's 1982 Honda motorcycle on the front lawn of the residence.

Also occupying the bike was 12-year-old juvenile, who was also transported by Salem Fire to the hospital and later released.

Both Holland and the passenger were wearing helmets.

According to police, excess speed does not appear to be the cause of the crash and it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.

The Salem Police Technical Accident Reconstruction team (TAR) responded to the crash and will be conducting the investigation.
