ConvenientMD Wins Business Pillar Award from Salem Chamber

Salem businesses that will be recognized in April include Canobie Lake Park, Daisy Cleaners and Food for the Hungry.

A new Windham business officially has a big accolade under its belt.

The Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce has announced that ConvenientMD will be the recepient of a 2013 Business Pillar Award.

The new urgent care facility was named as the winner of the "new business" category.

The idea behind the pillar awards is to recognize businesses for achievements in their industry and impact on the community at large.

The fifth annual Economic Development Breakfast will play host to the award ceremony and will take place at 10 a.m. at Castleton Banquet Hall and Conference Center.

Delivering the keynote speech for the event will be Gov. Maggie Hassan. During her speech, she is expected to discuss her vision for the state's economic development with an emphasis on greater Salem.

An update from the N.H. Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED) will also take place.

Salem's Canobie Lake Park (large business), Daisy Cleaners (small business) and Food for the Hungry (non-profit) will also be recognized.

In 2012, The Dubay Group, a local engineering business, was recognized.
