MaryAnn's Diner Posts 'Coming Soon' Sign in Cobbetts Pond Plaza

The 22-year-old Derry diner will soon try to duplicate its success in Windham.

The Windham MaryAnn's Diner location is officially on its way, as evidenced by a "coming soon" sign posted late last week at the former Chatterbox Cafe location in the Cobbetts Pond Plaza.

Written on the sign is the diner's slogan: "Let the good times roll at Mary Ann's Diner."

The Derry-based restaurant was first opened in 1989 and named after the wife of Bill Andreoli.

According to an Eagle Tribune report in May, the second location could open as early as August an will be run by Bill Andreoli Jr. and his wife Duyen.

The Chatterbox Cafe closed shop just before Christmas, despite appearing on the Food Network show "Restaurant Impossible" in Feb. 2012.

The Cobbetts Pond Plaza has seen lots of turnover in the last year, beginning with the exit of Bella Vino.

Shabby Chic: A Sweets Boutique also moved out, staying in Windham but opening up under the new name of Sophisticakes at 25 Indian Rock Road.

New entries to the plaza have included Black Moose Country Store, Elite Feet Artists Company and Synfully Sweet Treats.
