Devoted Wife, Avid Runner Dies at 53

Kim E. Fuller died on Wednesday.

Kim E. Fuller, 53, of Windham, NH, formerly of Gardner and Leominster, MA, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 21, 1959 in Gardner, a daughter of Joseph and Yvonne (Bernard) Melanson. Kim was raised and educated in Gardner and was a graduate of Emmanuel College, receiving her BA in 2000. She had been a resident of Leominster prior to moving to Windham 9 years ago. Kim had been employed as an Administrative Assistant at St. Anselm’s College of Goffstown, and had previously been a longtime employee of Digital Equipment Co. She had been a troop leader in the Girl Scouts of America, and was a proud member of the Windham Presbyterian Church. Kim was a devoted wife and loving mother to her two beautiful daughters. She was also an avid runner, who ran the Tufts 10K race just last October.

Members of the family include her husband of 14 years, Glenn Fuller of Windham, two daughters, Rachel Yvonne Fuller and Elizabeth Arlene Fuller, both of Windham, two brothers, John Melanson and his partner, Karen Hescock of Orwell, VT and Scott Melanson and his partner, Neil Manturoff of Redmond, WA, three sisters, Cynthia Kacian and her husband Jack of Royalston, MA, Sheila Valiton and her husband Donald of Cumming, GA, and Judy LaFrenier and her husband Jeffrey, of Warwick, MA, her in-laws, Donald, Sr. and Arlene Fuller of Billerica, MA, her many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her loving puggle, Joseph Edward Fuller. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Carolyn “Cudgie” Ferris.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, July 22nd at the Windham Presbyterian Church, 1 Church Rd., Windham, NH. Private graveside services will be held at Cemetery on the Plains of Windham at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, or Home Health VNA, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence, MA 01843. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
