Obituary: Joyce L (Lagana) Wong

Joyce L (Lagana) Wong, 57, of Windham, NH, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 21st, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born and educated in Lawrence, was the daughter of Joseph Lagana, Sr. of Lawrence and the late Lena (Coletta) Lagana.

Joyce graduated from Lawrence High School and received a BS in Business Education from Salem State College and a MS in Training and Development from Lesley University.  She was a Technical Writer and an Education Specialist at Wang, Computer Science Corp., Houghton Mifflin Co., Parexel, LHS Priority Call Management, and Arris.  She returned to her true calling as a Computer Technology Specialist teaching computers to middle school students at the South Lawrence East School in Lawrence.

Joyce will be sorely missed by Buddy, her protector, who always sat by her side.  She enjoined gardening and was a member of the Windham Garden Club.  She was also actively involved with Boy Scout Troop 266 of Windham which both of her sons are boy scouts.

Besides her father, Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Wilman Wong of 20 years, her sons Brian Wong and Michael Wong all of Windham, NH, her brother Joseph Lagana, Jr. and his wife Gina of West Newbury, and her sister Nancy Lagana of Methuen as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends will be received at calling hours on Sunday, August 25th from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen, MA. With her funeral service to follow calling hours.
