Man Leads Police on Chase, Charged with DWI in Windham

Anthony Bedard led Hudson police into Windham, where police followed him to Hampstead.

On July 13 Hudson Police arrested Alexander Bedard, 21, of Nashua, who is charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless conduct and disobeying an officer in connection to in incident that began with several complaints of an erratic driver Saturday night on Lowell Road.

At about 6:20 p.m several callers reported to police seeing a 2000 Ford Ranger pickup driving "all over the road " as it headed north. When a Hudson Police officer located and attempted to stop the truck, the driver fled and ended up traveling east on Route 111. Two Hudson officers pursued the vehicle in an attempt to stop it. The vehicle fled into Windham where Windham Police took over the pursuit. The truck continued on Route 111 east until it finally stopped in Hampstead on Route 111. At that time Windham Police arrested Bedard on the above-mentioned charged.

Bedard faces similar charged in Hudson, along with other charges. Bedard was held in Rockingham County House of Correction pending his arraignment on the Windham charges, police said.
