Town Administrator Assures Windham is Not Involved in Possible Dispatch Fees

Windham utilizes its own police dispatch service and contracts out to Derry for fire dispatch.

As some Rockingham County towns prepare to potentially pay $1 per resident for police dispatch and 50 cents per resident for fire dispatch, Town Administrator Dave Sullivan assured on Monday that Windham won't get hit with any fees.

According to an Eagle Tribune report, the money is needed to upgrade the county dispatch center in Brentwood.

Sullivan said that Windham doesn't utilize the county for either of its dispatch services. For the police department, Windham has its own dispatch service, while Windham Fire contracts out with Derry.

The point is noted by the Eagle Tribune story, which indicates that other communities such as Londonderry also won't be impacted because they utilize their own dispatch services.

Towns that use both fire and police county services could pay a discounted $1.25 per resident
