Gov. Lynch to Visit Windham on Friday

He will come to the Community Development Department.

As New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch's final days in office wind down, he will get a nice send-off from the town of Windham.

Board of Selectmen Chairman Bruce Breton has arranged for Lynch to come to the town on Friday for coffee and donuts.

"This will give us all some time to thank the Governor for his time in office and wish him well," Breton said in an email.

The event will take place at the Community Development Department from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Replacing Lynch will be Gov.-Elect Maggie Hassan, who like Lynch is a Democrat.

Hassan beat out Republican Ovide Lamontagne in the November election. Her inauguration will take place on Jan. 3, 2013 at the State House in Concord.

This will be the first public appearance in Windham for Lynch the first senior class to graduate from the school.

Lynch took office in 2005, serving four terms as governor.
