Higher Speed Limits on Route 101, I-89?

The proposal will go before the House Transportation Committee on Tuesday.

The House Transportation Committee will hear testimony Tuesday on a proposal to raise the speed limit to 70 mph on Route 101 and Interstate 89, according to NHPR.

The bill proposed by Rep. Steve Vaillancourt (R-Manchester) would raise the speed limit on Route 101 from Manchester to Hampton and on most of Route 89. The speed limit was raised last year on most of Interstate 93 from Canterbury to the Vermont border.
