Which GOP Frontrunner will Keynote Cornerstone's Annual Dinner?

Texas Senator declines Cornerstone invite, but another presidential hopeful may step in.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a possible 2016 presidential contender, has declined Cornerstone Action's invitation to speak at the group's annual dinner, according to the Washington Times.

Cornerstone Executive Director Ashley Pratte told the Times that Cruz declined her invitation, and said the organization has since reached out to U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio – also a potential 2016 GOP presidential hopeful – and asked him to be the keynote speaker at the fall event. Texas Gov. Rick Perry was the speaker at last year's dinner.

Cruz is scheduled to be in New Hampshire on Friday for a New Hampshire Republican State Committee fundraiser in Dublin.
