Windham AP Test Scores Beating Out the Rest

Students have beat out the state and global averages three years in a row despite more kids taking the tests each year.

According to a presentation last week before the Windham School Board, Windham students are performing better on average than both the state and global means for advanced placement (AP) exams.

Students at Windham High School have also increased their participation in the AP tests since 2011.

The statistics showed that the mean score for Windham in 2013 was 3.50, which was higher than both the state average (3.29) and global average (2.89).

In 2012, Windham kids averaged a 3.57, also higher than the state (3.32) and global (2.91) averages.

A total of 43 Windham students took the AP tests in 2011, but 2012 saw a marked increase up to 212. In 2013, a total of 256 students took the tests.
