Today will be a hot one in Windham, with a high of 90 expected. And it's the start of what could be another heat wave for New Hampshire.

In Hillsborough County and part of Massachusetts, the National Weather Service has even issued a heat advisory through 8 p.m. Monday. The worst conditions are expected during the afternoon and early evening. Temperatures will be in the lower 90s, but high humidity will push heat index values up to 102. Anyone outdoors for prolonged periods will be at risk for heat-related illnesses.

In light of the weather, the Merrimack Public Library will be open this week as a cooling station for people who need to get out of the heat. The library is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

So do what you can to avoid prolonged work in the sun or poorly ventilated areas, and drink plenty of fluids. And consider rescheduling any strenuous activities to the early morning or evening.

More hot weather is expected tomorrow, with a high of 94. Wednesday could be even hotter, with a high of 95. Temps in the 90s are expected through the end of the week.
