Two organizations are giving two scholarships each, with the deadline April 20 to apply.
Welcome back to our Windham Patch "Last Chance" column, where this week we are looking at four scholarship deadlines coming up in town. The deadline to apply all four is Friday, April 20. The Friends of the Library of Windham will be offering two of those scholarships, officially titled the "Friends of the Library of Windham Annual Scholarship" and the "Friends of the Library of Windham Mary Long Scholarship." Each is valued at $4,000 and will be awarded to a high school senior who is a Windham resident. The application can be found here. High school seniors in the Windham community have two scholarships that they can apply for in town during the months of February and March. The first is the Coish Family Scholarship, which is now accepting applications for students who have participated in one or more sports at Windham High School while maintaining a 3.0 GPA. That award will be for $1,000 and will be presented in late spring. It may be used for tuition, living expenses, books or supplies. Windham Endowment is involved with administering this scholarship on behalf of its donors. The organization has also announced its own scholarship, also for $1,000.
