Moeckel Pond Project Passes First Step

The Union Leader reported the news this week.

The Union Leader reported yesterday that Windham's Zoning Board of Adjustment passed varianced required to subdivide the property around the Moeckel Pond dam in town. The paper reported that Joseph Maynard of Benchmark Engineering spoke on behalf of the Friends of Moeckel Pond, telling the board that the land will be subdivided into three lots. The dam is located on one lot and will be restored, while another lot may be purchased by an abutter. The third lot will be used as conservation land.

Moeckel Pond Project Headed to Town Boards

The Eagle-Tribune reported the news on April 30.

The Friends of Moeckel Pond will soon seek approval for a subdivision request related to a $280,000 project that will restore the dam and provide new recreational opportunities for Windham, according to a report from the Eagle Tribune.  The paper said that the group received the land as a gift from the Linton Trust. Windham Endowment for Community Advancement is also on board with the project.
