New Restaurant, Retail Shops Coming to Windham?

Concept could bring another restaurant and more retail shops to town.

As Windham's commercial and retail base continues a steady incline, one resident is proposing a 28,500 sq. ft. project aimed at bringing several new businesses to town.

The proposal, which would construct Village Center Place at 13 and 15 Indian Rock Road, includes a bank, as well as retail, dining and office space, according to Wednesday's Lawrence Eagle-Tribune.

The agenda for Wednesday night's planning board meeting – which is scheduled for 7 at the Community Development building – describes the application as follows:

The applicant, Karl Dubay of the Dubay Group on behalf of Village Center Properties, LLC and Scott & Jane Baetz, is proposing a phased multi-use development at 13 & 15 Indian Rock Road (11-A-520/11-A-530). Phase I of the development includes a one-story 2,500sqft building (Building A), and 2 story 10,000sqft (total) building (Building B) and a building with two stories at 12,200sqft and 1 one story section at 1,500sqft for a total building (Building C) at 13,700sqft. In addition, site lighting, landscaping, parking and façade elements are also proposed. There will be the ability to connect to abutting properties for internal driveway access as part of this application. This application is subject to the provisions of WWPD and Section 719 of the Zoning Ordinance, as well as the Design Regulations
