19th-Annual Windham Turkey Trot on Tap for Thanksgiving

What began in 1995 as a neighborhood fun run has become a regional tradition.
This Thanksgiving, hundreds of people of all ages from Windham and nearby communities will line up with friends and family at 9 a.m. outside of 70 Blossom Road and "trot" either the 3 or 5 mile route.
For some, the race will be gravy. Others may get basted, yet the event remains open to anyone, from competitive runners to walkers, babies to seniors, bicyclists to skateboarders, those in wheelchairs and those in wagons or strollers, all are welcome.
The Windham Turkey Trot – which has raised more than $116,000 for charity for The Shepherd's Food Pantry, Windham Helping Hands and Family Promise of Greater Rockingham County to date – has grown from 50 people 19 years ago to 1,300 in 2012.

The cost of participating is a monetary donation of your choosing.
Those signing up online through Sunday, Nov. 17 can reserve one of the coveted long-sleeve T-shirts with every $20 donation. Day-of-race registrants are always welcome to trot.
