Windham Sets Date for Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Family event to include Santa and Mrs. Claus, Christmas carols and a spaghetti dinner!

From the Windham Recreation Department:

Please join us on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 3-5 pm for our Annual Tree Lighting in Windham.  Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by fire truck around 3 pm, escorted by the Salem High Marching Band and Color Guard.  Santa will be in the Windham Cable Studio for photos until 5 pm.  Rebekah Kay Photography will be taking the photos this year.  You will be able to order photos from her website at a reduced rate.

The Girl Scouts will be hosting holiday crafts in the upstairs of the Town Hall; while the Boy Scouts will be watching over the massive bon fire in front of the Town Hall. You won’t want to miss the performance by The Windham Community Band in the heated tent from 3:30-4:30 pm.

We will be serving complimentary hot cocoa compliments of Chunky's, cookies, and hot coffee as well.  The Windham Middle School will be singing Christmas carols in the gazebo on the Town Common at 4:45 pm, followed by the lighting of the tree.  The Windham Presbyterian Church will be hosting their annual free non-denominational spaghetti supper.

Be sure to visit the Holiday Shopping Extravaganza earlier in the day from 9am-2 pm at Windham High School to get your shopping done!
